Woodward Dental Practice uses the most advanced technology to produce the best possible results in an efficient, comfortable manner to make your time with us a pleasurable and relaxed experience.

Digital X-Ray Technology

Digital Dental X-Ray Technolocy | Woodward Dental
The latest improvement in dental diagnostic imaging, low-dose dental x-rays allow for electronic x-rays of the entire mouth to be taken immediately. This technology produces approximately 90% less radiation than traditional film x-rays and, with no need to wait for x-rays to develop, we can identify problems on the spot.

In addition we can view the results on our computer monitor so our patients can also see what is happening. No more peering at tiny squares of acetate.

Our aim is to minimise complex and expensive procedures, ensuring the fastest and most effective treatment for patients.

Intra Oral Camera

Contained in a small tube the Intra Oral Camera can be easily manoeuvred to give us a guided tour of your mouth, teeth and gums while you watch live on our TV screen. This enables you to see what your dentist sees while he explains as he examines.

CEREC

CEREC represents the height of dental technology. Its advanced technology can quickly manufacture strong, durable, aesthetically pleasing restoration which heightens functionality whilst protecting your tooth or teeth’s existing structure.
CEREC represents the height of dental technology. Its advanced technology can quickly manufacture strong, durable, aesthetically pleasing restoration which heightens functionality whilst protecting your tooth or teeth’s existing structure.

With its 3D camera, CEREC creates a digital model of your tooth. With this model our dentist creates a precise restoration on the computer screen. Then a porcelain block is entered into CEREC and it carves an exact filling, inlay, crown or other restoration which can be permanently bonded to the tooth/teeth in a single visit. This restoration is strong, long-lasting and natural in appearance, without the need for an external lab.

Soft tissue Laser Dentistry

Laser technology when used in dentistry has a significant benefit to the patient experience as it allows treatment to be conducted in a less invasive and highly accurate manner that poses less of a threat to existing tooth structure.

Furthermore, a multitude of procedures performed through laser dentistry do not necessitate injections or anaesthetics and can be completed more efficiently reducing costs and your time in the chair.

The Wand (Anaesthetic)

The wand is a particularly effective treatment option for anxious patients as it is often the anaesthetic injections which are at the root of patients’ anxiety. The wand allows for a computer controlled injection process which administers the aesthetics in a more comfortable, pain-free way increasing accuracy and minimising side effects like numbness. The wand is a safe method for both adults and children.
